Nice fruit/acidity balance and while not sweet in my perception, there is a touch of sweetness to make it all quite enjoyable to drink when you are looking for this style of wine.

Mineral, bitter melon palate. Just so faintly floral. Real nice. Medium acid, easy drinking.

Just a touch heavier, thicker, and sweeter than really necessary. It coats the palate and has a full sit it the mouth, which are nice, but more bitter and alcoholic in its finish than necessary, too. Concur that we're wanting acid here. Yet something about this wine did keep me drinking it, kept me marginally on the side of liking it. Not bad.

High quality and lots of aftertaste peach/lichies. Much more complexe than most Pinot Blanc.

Domaine Weinbach (Alsace) : Light mineral smell, slightly smokey. Good body, plenty of acid. A bit of peachy fruit. Refreshing and well balanced. Quite simple but enjoyable.

Tasty with some texture going on in it. Some rich fruit on it.

Holidays 2017 : Because I love Alsatian food and the region in general, I always think I need to drink more Alsatian wine, but alas it never really pleases me. It's more austere than my favorite German whites and not as mineral as my favorite Loires. This one was no exception - it takes a step towards sweetness but has too much marzipan and bitters, and it could use a bit more acidic pop to offset the ripeness. Nevertheless, there …

Bought at a wine shop in Lyon for 24 euros, drank the same day after it was chilled in the fridge for an hour, then let rise in temperature. I think I caught this humble wine at just the right time as it was stunning. It pours a medium straw gold yellow. The nose explodes from the glass with notes of pool toy, kerosene, honey, white flowers, wet hay, yellow jolly rancher, marmalade, wax, vaseline, terragon, lemon, and red apple. …

This is rather sensational; gotta love what Alsace can do in a higher-acid year like 2010. Such textural harmony here, a rare interplay between richness and sheer vibrant cut, with none of the high-alcohol, band-aid quality that I sometimes find in these wines. There's a bit of a tropical, tangy, tangerine-like quality to the fruit, but I actually find it amazingly refreshing, especially as it dissolves into a zippy burst of acid and minerals. SO good for the $16 closeout …

Good, easy drinker. Medium plus acidity, waxy, honeyed melon and citrus on the palate. Short finish.

Very nice wine, but didn't enjoy it as much as the Kaefferkopf Riesling we had the same night.

Opened this from the fridge -- too cold -- and it opened with a closed nose and a honey-like sweetness on the palate followed by a flattening and then a sour closing taste that faded away. But as it opened and warmed the honey-like flavor persisted longer and the sour finish began to disappear. On the second day it was a transformed wine -- floral and fruit nose, long honey-like palate with all traces of sour finish disappeared. Good structure …
