Gone into hibernation now. Managed to coax some of the fruit after a lengthy 4 hour decant. Very restraint with firm tannins, still showing good extraction. I love the mountain fruit here - very lean tannins with polished texture.

big and intense. cassis, lavendar, leather, tobacco and vanilla. aromas leap out of your glass. intoxicating. highly concentrated with layers and layers of blue and dark fruits framed in a skyscraper of sweet silky tannins. long lavendar and tobacco finish.already approachable. deep purple legs. one of a very few masculine '09 which could rival the intensity of the some of the bigger '08s out there. will be long lived. spectacular!

Eucalyptus, casis, blackberry jam expressions on the nose. Another big cab from DA! Strong pepper finish. Complex, intense and full bodied!
