B Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Beckstoffer

This wine was great with a bone-in filet mignon for dinner. Improved after about 90 minute decant after initial oak blew off, but still flavorful PnP. Tannins are very smooth. Rich flavors with chocolate notes.

I am a fan of B Cellars, but this wine did not deliver. Very flabby and more prune like.. hopefully an off bottle.

Very fruit forward, rich wine, layers of dark fruit, fairly long finish with a touch of oak and little bit of heat. Paired great with an 8 course menu consisting of different Wagyu dishes.

Drink now. Decent but didn’t wow me like others from B Cellars

This was our last bottle - absolutely fantastic with the only possible drawback being the heat. This had NO age characteristics at all - seems like much younger than 10 years old. Very classically Beckstoffer in its sweet tannin and deeply rich black fruit chocolate stew mix. Classically B Cellars in being totally delicious.

This is a big bold Beckstoffer monster! Decanted for 2.5 hours and upon pour into glass it was exploding with blueberries and other dark fruit. Taste was similar to nose but with a touch of red fruit also. Took a lot of swirling to get alcohol to go away during first glass and was pretty much gone on second glass. Splash decanted . Deep dark color demonstrating dark fruit. At 10 years in bottle , this wine is hitting its stride. Wonderfully balanced wine. I feel one of the best made Dr Crane’s out there. I have one more in the cellar. Looking forward to enjoying in the next couple years.

Only dark with dark berry and lavender in the nose. Thick jammy berries with a little herbiness. Long lingering finish.

Wish I could rate it... never got to have a glass as our dinner guests finished off as I was cooking their steaks, bummer. Well they all loved it.

Dark purple fruit - blueberry, blackberry, dark currants, and dark raspberry. Smooth mid-palate coupled with nice depth/concentration and purity. Nice flavors of dark berries and a little mineral component. Fairly long finish. Decanted for two hours and drank over another three. Improved with time but drinking quite well after the decant. One of the better Beckstoffer Dr Crane cabs that I've had. I need to seek-out more of their wines - I really enjoy Kirk Venge's style of wine making.

Better than 2014 Myriad Dr. Crane Elysium and better than Realm To Kalon '13 on the same night.

Excellent, high-end Napa Cab from a great vintage. Supple and ripe fruit that speaks of its Napa origins. Wonderful concentration, very new world, excellent structure. Modern Napa wins making

Visited the property a few weeks ago and was blown away by the 2013 Beckstoffer wines. The 2013 Dr Crane has it all, complexity, chocolate, big fruit, and cedar. Try to resist it for another 5-10 years and you'll be rewarded.
