A much more expansive nose than the Petite Cave, with really deep, powerful notes of blackcurrant and dark raspberry, together with hints of peonies and herbs. In the mouth, an altogether different wine, much more serious (with and without ""!) and a lot more volume than the Petite Cave. No trace of brett, but a lingering taste of oak on the finish.
