Maturing nicely, big on olives and floral aromas, leaning more meaty and feral with time open. Full bodied and silky texture, round in the middle with dark fruit and funky cured meat flavors. Tannins are balanced, still with a good grip, but integrating nicely. Interestingly, reductive flavors seems to be more prominent with air. Plenty of legs left on this, no hurry here, though I liked the earlier more primary bottle from a few years back.

Rich and fruity but not overdone. Black cherries and grilled meats, herbs, and peppery spices. Very nice.

Fantastic rich fruity syrah. Waited too long to write this note so I can’t remember what the fruit characteristics for exactly, but Doesn’t have the meaty irony notes that my husband hates.

Eucalyptus, olive, bacon fat, white pepper, lavender. Concentrated, yet not astringently structured, great balance and depth. Incredibly complex, definitely leaning towards the weird cool climate spectrum of Syrah. Enveloping wine--a pleasure to take in its aromatics, and lingers on the finish with a strong sense of minerality. Reminds me of a good Nebbiolo in the sense that it is deep and powerful, yet has a cooling almost menthol-like quality, but is unmistakably Syrah. Great now, should go another 10 years …
