Very dark cherry color, almost completely opaque - although the rims are very pale and translucent. Very rich, expressive and clean nose of brambly blackberry, ripe red cherry, dark plummy fruit, some dusty earth, a little allspice and perfumed floral hints of violets. On the palate the wine is a lot lighter and more acid-driven than the nose leads to expect with crunchy flavors of sour cherries, tart lingonberries, fresh dark fruits and hints of dried herbs. Paired with herb crusted rack of pork. Very nice.

Lots of finesse and balance, lively berry notes with enough soft tannins for structure. Great food wine. First tasted at a restaurant with a charcuterie plate, lamb meatballs, and cacio e pepe. Paired extremely well with everything.

Pop and pour at restaurant. Nice fresh dark fruit nose. Clean dark berry on the palate, balanced slightly toward acid. Tame tannin. Very good with food and excellent QPR.

Ruby red, dark color. Very weak nose. Nice and balanced flavour with good strength for a wine in this price range. Splendid! 50+5+8+14+7 =84

Nice Barbera, great food wine but did not have that leathery character that I like in Barbera. Fruit forward with soft tannins; very fragrant and open on the nose. Not sure this will improve w/ age but should drink well for the next 5-7 years. Really solid value at $15 USD
