Really enjoying this. Have had the 2019 and thought it was very good. This is better. Aroma is lemon, ginger, cream, some vegetal notes like asparagus. Palate is more lime, grass and green herbs a bit of cream actually. Some nice complexity. Grapefruit comes forward as it warms slightly. .

Medium nose shows white flowers, lime zest, wet rock, lemongrass. Palate shows nice layers of fruit, citrus driven, hint of phenolics, mineral tones, acidity drives things, light spice in there, tart finish. Nice classic style, tasty.

Popped, poured, consumed over next two hours. Started out a little flat and surprisingly flabby, but still delicious. With air, refreshing acidity emerged and it woke up, came into balance and revealed its true character.

Notes of ripe & under-ripe white fruit, along with a good streak of mineral and salinity. A note of fresh linen as well. Excellent acidity. Solid stuff here.

Second Sunday Group: Ridge Monte Bello 2005-2012 (Jeff's) : Double blind. Cottony, billowy fruit with bright acidity. Has a tropical peach edge to it. Heightened acidity. Was surprised to see this was a Sancerre.

From the “Terre Blanche” kimmeridgian clay soil in Sancerre. Pretty nose with lots of fresh flowers. Notes of underripe melons and peaches, fresh citrus, tarragon, dill, green peppercorns and fresh vegetables. Some lemon cream/key lime pie notes also. Probably because of malo. Medium + body, high acidity, fishes medium.

No notes taken as I drank this, but this is an outstanding, beautiful wine that is drinking supremely well right now. Youthful vigor, with all the components just settled but still in delightful high-strung vigor. Absolutely fantastic wine, and for the price it's a no-brainer. I would buy more if I had access to it.

A wonderful Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre. Lemon drop, nice minerality and a perfect crisp acidity.

Pale lemon color. Complex aromas and flavors of quince, lime zest, elderflower, oyster shell, white pepper and slate. Ripe on the palate with nervy tension and dense secondary complexity. High acid, with balance. Medium body, finely textured. Dry lingering finish. Very nice.

Nose is full of peach, ripe pear and tropical fruit. Not especially flinty, but dry and tasty.

Lime, stoney minerals, palate is ripe with melon, lime & slate. Little on the tangy/tart side, but this is just a function of how young it is. Needs a little time to settle down, but is already delicious.

straw yellow with a nose of dry hay. this wine is clean limstone, mineral somewhat muted in taste. this wine showed far better the last time i had it. but still a decent opening bottle for a night of big wines.

($20) Lola - Single-Varietal French Whites: Blind white 2 - Dry chalk and pepper on the nose. Green pepper finish. Rich, lime infused fruit. Rather more austere on the finish than I recall. Obviously Sauvignon Blanc.

($20) A lovely wine with a nose of sweet-tart citrus and pineapple along with chalky minerals. On the palate the wine has aggressive acidity mostly tamed by the "sweetness" and intensity of the fruit. Nice.
