Musicians’ Dinner and Paulée (Hospice de Beaune, Beaune) : Deep yellow. Nice medium weight. Citrus and some vanilla. Excellent acidity and stone, well calibrated oak. Late grapefruit. Truly excellent and one of the better wines I’ve ever had from this producer.

Richly baked apple, the oak is soft but there. Really rather good actually.

Cross-section of orchard fruit with good ripeness, good+ concentration for its level. Good length, finishing with slightly tart lemon notes. In its peak drinking window.

Post Musique et Vin Festival Concert Dinners (Château du Clos de Vougeot) : Very floral with spice. Lots of apple and peach. Moderate weight and length, very good balance. Starts out rich, finishes with ripe fruit in textural harmony. Very good now.

Chateau de Meursault Masterclass with Stephne Follin-Arbelet. (wine ark alexandria) : slight peachy fruit & creamy, butter, a little new oak; bit of sweet spice. Broad and richly spiced on the palate. Juicy acidity. The initial fruit drops leaving a filigree of flavour on the gums and palate. The nose promises more than the palate delivers but this is pleasant enough.

Chateau de Meursault Masterclass with Stephne Follin-Arbelet. (wine ark alexandria) : Almost honeyed with butter, muted stone fruit and sweet spice, slight floral notes as well. Juicy acidity on the palate…which is quite similar to the nose but with a slight banana element, tangy and a bit of front of mouth grip. Nicer than the 2012 but I think I prefer the 2013. And the honey element leads me to believe that this is a little bit forward for its …

Château de Meursault Dinner (The Bristol - Chicago IL) : Tasted alongside the Chateau de Meursault, this was a clear step up. Floral with spice and overall good balance and impressive length for Villages. Better in a few more years. Not quite as good as the 2014 tasted earlier.

I visited the chateau when I first visited meursault about 7 years ago and enjoyed the visit and wines. There has been a lot of changes since then, so good to revisit. The wine was crisp and elegant. Citrus and tropical flavours on the palate. Enjoyable to drink.

Like my buddy Brad said tonight, "Lonny always brings killer white Burgundies!" This was no exception. Tremendous concentration and intense minerality. The descriptors "dense" & "pungent" easily applies here! This is packed with lip smacking classic white Burgundy typicity. Love this wine. Only knock is it lacks the feminine ethereal subtly of a Lafon Clos De Bare but this wine rocks just the same! Thanks Lonny!

Dîner de Gala - Neuvième Edition du Festival (Château du Clos de Vougeot) : Generously floral. Ripe and forward peach with moderate weight, good minerality, particularly on finish. Wonderful for now and the medium-term. From the upper (Dessus) portion of the large Charmes vineyard, which also typically produces the better wines.

From methuselah. White stone fruit, flowers, crushed stones, citrus fruit and a slight creaminess on the nose. On the palate a little tight with lots of minerality. Well balanced with lots of acidity, notes of grape fruit. Fresh and lively with a really good finish. Needs time. 91-92+

Chateau de Meursault / Chateau de Marsannay Tasting (Plum Market - Chicago IL) : Tasting, brief note. Summer flowers with apple, pear aromas. Moderate depth with better textures and an intriguing mineral finish. Good+ for its level.
