Not sure if I got an improperly stored bottle, but this one was done. Not vinegar, but rancid. Tasted as though it may have been stored too warm. Seems like enough tannin here to age fairly well, otherwise.

oak was very noticeable on the nose and palate the first night, but mellowed out the next day. I felt the 2008 wasn't as balanced as the the 2007.

I bought a case of half-bottles of this last year. I've been going through them at the rate of about 2 bottles a month. At first they were good, but in the last couple months they've started deteriorating quickly. If you have any, I would say to drink up before it gets worse.

low fruit for pinot, good balance; tasted next to Alma Rosa which had more fruit - preferred Wild Horse. Ready to drink now.

Tasty and simple, but well-made pinot noir showing medium body and generic central coast flavors of bing cherries, some rasberry in a clean-palate fruity blend without much complexity, but without off flavors or indications of chemical manipulation. Medium finish.

Paid $14 for a half-bottle, and this is one of the better Pinots that I've had at this price. This has a little bit of heft to it for a Pinot. And no noticeable problems.

Should be a house favorite. Drank w home made pizza. Complex body for a Pinot, not thinor water. More like a merlot in complexity. Buy more!!!

Neither the bride nor I were as wild about this wine as some of the Community. We had it with lime/chile-rubbed/baked fresh salmon, sauteed snap peas/green onions and wild rice. The nose was cherry and earthy, but the taste did not live up to the nose. While it had a medium finish (good), the taste was a little flat and there was no complexity to it at all, not much to write home about. We paid about $16.99 for it; …

I'd call this a beefy pinot. Smokey smells and rustic taste, i.e. not jammy fruit packed roundness. Always a performer under $20. Can stand to age a year more, I think.

Found several bottles in the cellar. Rich berry, cherry, and spice. A perfect balance. Every once in the while you get a Calif Pinot that ages like a French Burgundy. What a great surprise. YUM!

Friends brought this bottle over for a dinner where Pinot wasn't quite the right wine for the evening, so we put it in the wine cooler and decided to open it tonight to go with Arthur's chili verde. This bottle can be "had" for anywhere between $14 and $24/bottle. The nose is classic Central Coast Pinot: shovels of earth, barrels of pepper, and a few cords of oak. Taste-wise, the slightly-sweet/syrupy fruit hits you first. Midpalate, the classic Pinot traits …

Volatile ever changing nose of iron ferrous rust, earthy sous bois , dried raspberries and haw, savory black chicken soup with wolfberries. Juicy delicious mid palate fruit full of strawberries and raspberries yet with some umami. Suprisingly layered but just a bit hollow at the finish. Very burgundian and I would have called it a corton or a pommard with its rustic rustiness.

Quite an incredible surprise - this must be the oldest new world Pinot I have ever had, and it was holding up really well. Nose opened with ferrous, rusty nails, haw flakes, mature red fruit, almost dried raspberry and strawberry-like, along with some earth, a pinch of herbs, wolfberries I think, and with time, whiffs of meat started swhoing. Lots going on. Palate seemed to be just about hanging on to its peak drinking window. Smooth as silk tannins, rich …
