Producta Vignobles Sauvignon Gris Bordeaux Grain de Lune

A lesser known white Bordeaux varietal. Intense aromas of lemon/lime soda with touches of white flowers and wet stones. Loads of citrus on the pallet with hints of melon and sweet spices. Bright and vibrant. Bracing acidity leaves the mouth watering long after the wine is swallowed.

Good qpr, a bit flabby but not bad, just enough freshness.

A little ripe and basic for me, with pineapple syrup, lemon oil, gooseberry jam and subtle herb flooding the palate. Medium bodied, with a bit too much flesh for me, but still nicely tense through the close. Drink now.

Upfront flavors of peach, pear, and lemon with a juicy mouthfeel. A bit thin on the midpalate. A noticeable yeasty finish makes me think this was rested on the lees for a while. Not super complex and lacking minerality, but a really excellent easy drinking summer wine. Great QPR as well.
