Excelente. Instenso, vivo. Insistente. Aroma intenso, cresecente, amplo. Frutas, toque leve herbaceo. Rendondo em boca, encaixa... Inteso e explosivo, gordo. Tomado em 4 dias. Imortal! Metáfora revitalizante para tempos de coronavírus.

'just' again a fabulous tasting vintage, wine with charisma, lots of dark plummy/cherryish fruit with just a sweetish touch, melted yet still present tannins, lots lots of taste, bit high in alcohol with 14,5%

Dark red, god concentration, spicy and noticeable power, medium length. More complexity and it would be a real hit. Nice wine for about 10 Euro.

I was leery about this one, but I got lucky. This was nicely mature, and well balanced. Never had a Toro wine before, but I liked the blackberry fruit.

All three of these Telmo basic reds (LZ, Gazur and now Dehesa Gago) have a dark, black fruit aspect, some rustic fruit. Here a bit of purple plum. Sweeter fruit next to the other two Telmo.

A nose of dark fruits, funk, and spice, dark black in color. A medium to full bodied red, with jammy blueberry, plum, cassis, tar and spice on finish, a bit chunky but a good QPR, decant. www.winelx.com

16,5/20 * * * 1/2 COUP DE COEUR ; SAQ: 18$ VISUEL: rubis violacé moyen OLFACTIF: beau nez de vin jeune et vif. Notes de cassis et de canneberges. Il a des ressemblance avec la négrette.... GUSTATIF: frais, vif, gouleyant. C'est plein de fruit. j'aime cette fraicheur et cette vivacité en bouche. ENSEMBLE: donnez lui encore 4 à 5 ans en cave et je serais bien curieux de voir son évolution. Il a le potentiel pour en surprendre plus d'un …

Espagnol surprenant. Très belle présence. Rond et soyeux. Pour le prix, difficile de faire mieux. Excellent rapport Q/P.

We discarded 1st btl and 2nd was a similarly overly acidic, thin (watered down) non-descript wine that should not be served at resturants. Far below "good" but still not without any worse flaws than "seriously unbalanced". Light red color. Non-packed fruity nose that surprised me from the rather powerful Toro wines had before this one. Taste is extra surprising (negatively) in that there is very little of anything except acids. Acids are over-represented in a less than complimentary fashion. The …

This one took a long time to open up and progressed through many phases - barnyard, spicy, fruity - until it rewarded. Give it time.

Deep inky purple. The smell was capricious, just like the taste–which is a great compliment–with notes of light soil and old wood. The wine started off with elegance and finesse. The linger was incredible, "like faded fruit." With the second glass came the power, the tannins and heavy finish of a large zin; it just opened up. And, later, it calmed down again. Incredible, light and worth keeping in the mouth to study. And so it went on like this …

I'm not going to draw this review out. This is plum juice. Cooked plum juice almost. I'm not a fan...but it's not undrinkable as some reviews claim. As a doctor, I'd suggest this be used as a a laxative for the elderly, or alternatively a uninteresting source of alcohol for the uninitiated.

Dancing, polished, chalky, wonderful light touch. Lots going on; old wood supports with driving acid. Excellent.

Interesting. I had this wine 4 months ago and just re-read my note after I had this bottle. Intyerestingas I didn't like that bottle at all. Interesting in that I have parted ways with Garagiste for a number of reasons posted elsewhere and even more interesting in that I found this bottle much better. I see that " Mschanbacher" has recently rated bottles of this from 64 to 87 so there appears to be some bottle variation. Not a great …

Tried over two days... still not pleasant. Dark plums and raisins with softer tannins. Either this was a totally different wine when young or the 'expert' scores are way off. So far my worst Garagiste selection. After my griping the Mrs. just poured out the last third of the bottle and demanded a proper bottle. Off to the cellar...

Dead on Arrival. Stewed prunes. And more stewed prunes. Did I mention the stewed prunes. This wine was likely never good or was cooked somewhere along the line. The only saving grace is the $10 price tag. Couldn't finish even a glass. Another dog from Garagiste. He took his prompting from requests, WA scores and Tanzer scores, so I guess you can't fault his palate. Caveat Emptor. If you have one, try it soon with a back up bottle. I …

Pop and pour. Chocolate on the nose with some dark cherry fruit. Medium-light body and definitely some tannins on the finish. Definitely needs some food to pair with. Might revisit the score tomorrow after some more air but tonight this one does not please the house.

Reduced. Needed two minutes with copper after 30 minutes of air. Pleasant, mature but not old, integrated nose. No primary fruit with flavors leaning toward, chocolate, licorice and deep prune but all commingled. Light/medium in the mouth, smooth, no/very light tannin, good structure, and a longish finish. This almost feels like PN and has a classy elegance. Overall, I liked the wine more than expected, not terribly complex but interesting enough, good with food. Now.

Wine was tasted blind. Color clear, medium, ruby. Nose is clean and medium intensity. Some darker fruit without rasination but no floral. Hot climate? Shows secondary with some oak. To me the oak has developed though. Maybe this is just dark fruit character coming through. Palate is dry and not showing alcohol, so medium. Body weight is medium -, with flavor intensity being medium -. The tannins are medium + and stand above the body flavors. Acidity is medium but …

St. John on Wine - Tempranillo (Perman Wine Selections, Chicago, Illinois) : Smells of licorice and chocolate. Very ripe fruit in the taste, but still a very dry & tannice wine.

Nice inky dark color. Nose of blackberries with hints of spice. Big juicy palate with black and red fruits on the front end with a touch of currants tapering to a nice crisp finish. A touch over acidic but not badly so.

Lots of loverly red fruit - raspberries, strawberries and a hint of cranberries. Good earthy underpinings. Mod+ acidity helps to lift the fruit. Overall well balanced and drnking well.
