Robe : pourpre pas très foncée, légère trace d'évolution Nez : Sur la framboise, mais la cerise prédomine, quelques notes herbacées. je trouve qu'il pinote gentillement. En bouche : je trouve de la cerise. C'est très agréable, on a une attaque tout en souplesse, c'est rond. L'acidité ne prend pas de dessus sur le fruit. C'est gouleyant et juteux. Il lui manque juste un peu de longueur en bouche. Très bien

I really enjoy a good Santenay and this really no exception. Deep rich colour with a very nice weight. Balanced. Very Burgundian nose of cherry, raspberry, leather, strawberry, cinnamon, and fresh strawberry. Palate follows the nose. Lovely length. Perfect with a lovely pork loin.

Farven lys rød gennemsigtig, har en lille mørk tone. Meget klar og skinnende. Transparent. En anelse brunlig tone. Duften meget åben og indbydende. Tydelig frugt med modne toner. Flot nuanceret med tydelige urter også tydelig animalske toner. Fin kompleksitet. Bondsk på den gode måde. Smagen relativ let med en tydelig syre og med lidt ascorbinsyre. Pæn lille frugt. Fine tanniner på tænderne Ikke den store kompleksitet. Pæn lang eftersmag

A complex Santenay-Pinot Noir. Cherries, raspberries, and strawberries dominate in front of leather, chocolate, and tobacco. Delicious structure, well-polished tannins, and lively acidity. A long and quite vibrant finish. This is a very well-made wine, on the verge of being outstanding (= 90+ rating). Will certainly age well in the cellar.

A very good 1er Cru, typical, "pinotting", a nice equilibrium, with maybe a bit more intensity than standard ! Could stand a few years, but was perfectly ready. Un très bon 1er Cru, très typique avec le nez de pinot, bien équilibré avec un peu plus d'intensité qu'on voit dans d'autres 1er crus. Notons que "1er Cru" = on ne se trompe pas ! Était parfaitement prêt mais peut prendre une couple d'autres années en cave.

Underbar pinot-näsa med en pikant kryddighet och rikligt med röda bär. För mig hade betyget blivit högre om det inte funnits en lite störande och påtaglig "surhet", 'tart' som man säger på engelska. Jag hoppas det är flaskvariation och det är luftkontakt som skapat det. Eller så är det bara att ge den lite tid? Bra, men en liten besvikelse i förhållande till andras omdömen.

The wine was tasted blind at Independent Wine Education Guild (IWEG), given the general theme of red Burgundy. 2016 Domaine Prieur-Brunet Santenay 1er Cru Maladière was complex, elegant and developing. Basically good to go at pop n pour. At day 2 the fruit tuned down bit and other notes were more prominent.
