Nose: Sweet red strawberries and red currant. Palate: Crunchy red fruit, prickly briar patch, and a warming mouthfeel.

Quite a nice wine. Complex aromas of mixed berries and earthy topsoil. Palate with nice acidity, soft tannins that are mostly integrated now, similar red fruits with medium-light body. Reasonably long finish. Insane value for the money. Drinks well now, would not age for too many more years. Structure is pretty approachable and there's plenty of complexity here to make this enjoyable. 90-91

Wow. Helluva deal at $28. Pours a med magenta hue, med+ aromatics, developing- still has some space to go somewhere... Cranberry, kola nut, smoke, raspberry, strawberry, game, orange rind. Intresting, especially for the price. In the mouth, the wine is dry, med tannin, high acid, medium alcohol, med+ intense in the mouth, with a medium finish. Overall, considering- very good. Move over Cameron WV, there's a new game in town! Solid wine for a great price.

Nose of cranberry, Asian 5 spice, cinnamon, florals. Maybe a bit of muddled strawberry? Really fantastic aromatically. Weighty entry. Nice acidity. Long finish. Really enjoyable wine and among the upper echelon of WV bottlings I’ve had.

Pop n’ pour without a decant into my Grassl Cru. Graceful nose of cranberry, red currant, Asian plum, orange peel, and potpourri. Nice structure on the palate, silky and polished, with crunchy red fruit notes intertwined with moss and loamy earth. Easy drinking and lip-smackingly delicious, just as enjoyable as it was when tasting with Will this past summer. Likely a case purchase when the 2023s come. Kind of reminds me of some village level Volnay from a couple producers …

Will nailed this one. Beautiful restrained and beautifully made Pinot that punches way above its price point. Aromatic on the nose, light, yet concentrated on the palate, and impeccably balanced. This is the kind of wine to buy by the case.

Oregon Trip-Day 2 (Here and there, Willamette Valley) : Dull ruby color. Medium weight, slightly lighter than the Sojeau. You feel some wood. Spicy dark cherry, good mix of fruit and herb, not terribly soil-inflected. Roundly tannic finish. Definitely on the more restrained side but also less exciting.
