Blackberry and chocolate on the nose. Deep, rich berry fruit and chocolate repeat on the palate. Med-long finish and some grippy tannins at the end. Certainly big on fruit but not overly sweet or overripe... and not too much to drink with a classic roast chicken.

this bottle has a lively, peppery taste, fairly high acidity, medium body and not as much fruit as i expected. this would go well with a beef or lamb stew

Great QPR. Immense mouthfeel, and at first you think this is some 15.5% bomb -- but then, as it moves across your tongue, you get dried cranberry, juicy dark fruit, dry oak, and good acids framing the whole thing. Then you check the bottle, and it's 14.2%, and you wish you had a case.

Wonderful dark fruit aroma - black cherry, blackberry, plum; plus vanilla. Dark fruit, pepper, oak on the palate. A little hot, but generally good balance, nice long finish. Very nice wine and great QPR.

This is syrah with sneakers on. It is very soft on entry and almost wants to be a little watery but isn't and manages to build on the palate in a really nice way. Smooth, subtle and very nice.

Very big dense syrah with high alcohol. This is the kind of wine that I would have scored 93-94 point a few years ago. Dense fruit explodes out of the bottle. Dense fruits explodes in your mouth with plenty of black pepper to follow. Remember you don't drink the label.
