Finally opened one of these after holding them for about 12 years. Cork bad. Decanted about 1 hour before serving. Very typical shiraz nose and nice on the mouth; but perhaps some of the magic of shiraz from Aussie-land is drinking these vibrant wines young? Very nice but not awe-inspiring and perhaps the age hasn't helped it much.

Icons of Clare Valley : Spiced black cherries, savory spice. Balanced , restrained with some assiness . Black spicy plums , some learther and mostly cool fruits. Quite controlled .

One of the finest Shiraz bottles I have ever tasted. Wonderfully thick and jammy notes of blackberry, mint, and great fruit.
