Glenelly, Glass Collection Chardonnay, Stellenbosch

Clean and smooth with a pleasant finish. Notes of apple. Not as crisp as some unoaked Chardonnays I have had. Would buy again.

Celebration of Chardonnay (De Wetshof, Robertson) : (Tasted Blind) Light yellow in colour, the wine is shy and restrained with faint hints of mineral, chalk, green apple and with a subtle oatmeal. However, there is a chemical note that distracts despite blowing off, like a chlorinated swimming pool. A lively acidity threads the wine together, and whilst not intense, gently massages the palate with light stone fruits and even a hint of cinnamon. A bit simple?
