Further to my Note of August 22 '20: next to last bottle, I think. This continues to please: dark purple, mature black fruits, somewhat rustic but very good mouthfeel. Solid cork; decanted with almost no sediment--still surprised at that. This was delicious with a simple pasta with sauteeed chicken and veg. Would welcome more.

Further to my Note of Oct 1, 2019; this is #3. Decanted with normal sediment for its age. Dark purple, almost opaque; black fruit nose, some oak; mature black plum, black cherry, some tar, some briar; good mouthfeel; some persistence. Delicious, glad to have more. Hoped it worked with Memphis barbequed ribs as a zin type, and it did. Solid for notable+.

Bought 4b for 14/b from WTSO about 4.5 years ago; this is #2. Decanted with no visible sediment--surprising for a 9yo wine. Dark purple, almost opaque; rich black fruit nose, hint of tar; dark stone fruits, some tar, rustic, good mouthfeel; some persistence. Semi-complex, delicious, esp. with hearty southern Italian. Large, heavy bottle probably outweighs the contents--might appeal to some, not me. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" …
