Alois Lageder Tasting (Oinoscent) : Viognier, Petit Manseng, 12-27yo vines, 230-360n altitude, spontaneous fermentation in barriques, matured in large oak on lees and in barriques for 11 months -/- The wine shows density, oak frame, nutty, almond, ripe stone fruit, elegant, impressive Palate is big, layered, a touch bitter, full on oaky, almond, high acidity, needs time

Very enjoyable! 70% viognier, 20% petit manseng, 5% assyrtiko and chenin blanc. Profile is mostly viognier, very aromatic and floral nose. Yellow fruit, apricot, peach, maybe a touch of pineapple on the palate perfectly balanced with a nice acidity. Not heavy at all. Very good qpr in my opinion.

Fresh and crispy, ideal for a hot summer evening. Tropical fruit but not too sweet thanks to good acidity. Quite mineral. Long finish. Highly recommended.
