Cadaretta Cabernet Sauvignon

Decanted for an hour. Still a very strong wine but very good. Dark fruits. The very mildest of sweet undertones to balance it out. Quite good with Indian food.

Dark dense red Ripe soft tannins, nice balance

Vibrant purple color. Explosive nose of bright but juicy red and black currants, plums, topped with violets, eucalyptus, cedar shavings, menthol and a rich soil note. Full-bodied with velvety but structured tannins and a nice kick of acidity to keep the wine moving forward. Black currant, dark plum skins and blueberries mix with a host of complex flavors: eucalyptus, coffee, tar, tobacco leaf, cedar and vanilla. A rich but balanced wine that should unravel nicely over the next 3-5 years. …

Medium purple color. Plum sauce, currants and black cherry aromas with violets and roses, too. Full-bodied, this shows velvety tannins and some refreshing acidity. Plums, currants and blueberries abound, the fruit is juicy but maintains a crunchy edge. Some black pepper, loam and charcoal as well. Toast and cedar integrated nicely. Delicious, smooth but refreshing, too.
