The 13 Bussiere was surprisingly ready from just pop and pour. It was unmistably Roumier with darkish red fruit, spice, vitamins and meat. Palate was round and full with medium plus weight. Very good today. 92-93

Ugh this is so good. Much more Chambolle than MSD as others have noted. So well put together. Note: I decanted this for just 30 mins but it really could've used 90-120 mins. As I finished it three hours later it was at its best.

Wedding Weekend of Wine; 10/3/2025-10/5/2025 (Napa Valley CA) : Popped-and-poured, which I think was a disservice here. Funky start with a robust array of red fruits with firm textures, this begrudgingly started giving some pleasure at the 30 minute mark. Patience required, but very good 90+ point potential here.

Tastevin Paulée (Mila's, Schenectady, NY) : Like the '13 Sirugue Petits Monts, this shows slightly closed/austere and gives the impression it needs more time. The fruit is fairly reticent and savoury earthy and mineral notes play a dominating note here, and the grainy tannins and bright acids of the vintage are quite prominent on the palate. Definitely one in need of more time.

Decanted to serve but rather shut tonight. It showed glimpse of pure purple fruit and spice at the 90 min mark with finesse. No doubt it reflected the weaker vintage but the Roumier MSD really punching way above its class in this vintage.

Second time with roumier, first time with 13 vintage so not as many points of reference as most.. Dark red fruit, evolving nose of spices, soil, incense (sandalwood), medium tannins medium acid. Feels like what a good Burgundy is supposed to taste like.. Definitely tastes like it has some age but also the Wine is really robust and didn't taste like it was fading for 4ish hours. Casual Friday Lunch (Langdon Hall, Cambridge, ON) : This pours medium to light ruby in the glass. The nose is initially good but really finds an extra gear with an hour or two of air. I have not had this cuvee from Roumier for a while, but I was clearly impressed. Floral nose with red-fruit driven palate. It has medium plus length and complexity. It opens up after 2 hour of aeration. Roumier is a big outperformer in the 2013 vintage.

2020 Winter Solstice : Bottle breathe for 2.5 hour and decant for 15 min before serving. Agreed with other notes that this is more CM then MSD. Very elegant and polished nose with black fruit and violet, the palate is well integrated tannin, fruit, earthy with strength. Chewy and medium/ long finishing. Drinking well now and the wine is still very young and fresh.

Shocked at how polished and accessible this wine was again, just as I remembered at the Modern 3 years ago. It's not overly complex, but so elegant more Chambolle than Morey. Floral, slight wood notes, exuberant aromatics. Palate is so placid and fine, full of fruit without any vulgarity. The master at his best.

This is drinking well already with a lighter texture and classic Roumier tautness. Cherries and minerals dominate the palate which has a nice mineral crunch and good complexity on the finish.

Seductive cherry & red plum on the nose on first pour. Very expressive and youthful, with a more masculine, earthy and less fruit-driven profile than the Louis Latour Chaillots before it. Pleasantly grippy, not drying, and a transparent finish... Lots of development over the course of the night, although it did seem to shut down aromatically after a couple hours.

The nose was very mineral and had crisp berry and cherry fruits. In the mouth it is calm and even, with plenty of earth and good definition. The finish has decent grip and length is good.

Initially huge nose of ripe strawberry and raspberry. Despite the massiveness the nose is alluring and balanced. Hint of wood and spices. One the palate it's clear that the wine is still young as drying tannins, lots of flavour of stone, red fruit, but a wee bit short.
