Ruby coloured with aromas of blackberry and a little smoke. On the palate blackberry, spice and cedar. Medium body with smooth tannins. A nice wine but a little over priced.

Nice clear ruby colour. Simple earthy nose. Restrained palate but smooth with a dry acid finish. Should soften more in time.

Dense ruby colour. Smooth soft well balanced nose but not complex. Elegant feel on the palate, dry with soft tannins that linger. Needs more time to develop.

Afternoon in Hunter Valley; 1/27/2012-1/28/2012 : This old vines was clearly the best Hunter Valley Shiraz we had. Medium bodied and elegant. Medium finish. A nice effort but at AUD40 the QPR is not that great if you compare this to some other Aussie Shiraz
