Domaine Du Terme Vacqueyras

Bought 3b for 14/b from Wine Library six years ago. Decant but hardly any sediment. Rich dark red; fragrant, peppery red fruit nose; rich and round, delicious; very good finish. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: I've stopped giving scores on a "100-point scale" as I've become less convinced that they can be meaningful to others. Consistent with previous bottle, but maybe a little hot.

I like the way smorris put it: "bright red fruits in a pleasant battle with a little funkiness." I'm not a fan of da funk, but there's not enough here to be offensive, A bit light bodied. Had me thinking "Burgundy" briefly on the PnP, but comes around to more of a Rhone profile. Maybe a touch Hot. 88 pts, maybe 89 points if I'm in a better mood.

Really liked this...bright red fruits in a pleasant battle with a little funkiness. Moatly grenache. Nice acidity, great with food. Should have bough more...excellent value.
