Ty Caton Cabernet Collection - Terraces Caton Vineyard Sonoma Valley

holding up well. Seemed more lush and fruity than I noted two years ago. More like a typical Ty Caton. Solid Cabernet that needed filtering.

deep garnet hue; black cherries and Maraschino parfait in the nose; intense blackberry / black cherry / black raspberry / cassis flavours up front with plenty of fruit to balance out the warm acid. Cedar notes, mild spices, some cinnamon combine for an enjoyable aftertaste.

Nice cabernet, but not as much fruit as I expected from a Ty Caton wine. It may be due to age. This is the first bottle from this vintage that I opened.

Decent, but had higher expectations. I think this needs a good two years though.

Decent nose, astringent, fruit and alcohol not in balance. Day 2 deteriorated - hot and messy. The fruit, acid and alcohol are not playing nice together. Will give the rest a few years, but I didn't get a lot of promise. Shockingly, wtso's "independent" rater saw this as much better.

Let it warm to room temp then silky texture w mocha finish
