Tatachilla Frontignac

Nothing wrong with it, nice bouquet on the nose of spice and dark stone fruit. All that soon faded away. The finishing is medium short and while tannins is still present, not harsh.

On opening stewed black fruit and cracked pepper on the nose. On initial tasting the fruit is prominent and the tannins are persistent and dry. Some savoury tones in there as well and well integrated french oak on the finish.

Strong long lingering after taste of blood plums, nice amount of acid. Very nice with Green & Black's chocolate melted over vanilla bean ice cream and cheese cake. Rather smooth on the tongue, velvet down the throat and finished neatly.

Dark, inky purple that's almost black. Full of dark berry flavors, with hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, graphite, toasted oak. Consistent with the '04 and with a lot of complexity but slightly less dense and more approachable in the same age. Great with roast beef. Drink from 2009 to 2014.
