Coravined sample -- seemed really flat. Not corked, not spoiled -- just seemed like it lacked character. Just didn't perform like some of the other wines did tonight. 2nd night, needed to open up the bottle as a last minute substitute for another wine at a dinner party. Much improved. Not really my style, but much better than yesterday

Really nice well aged bottle, I'd say in middle of the window. Double decanted before and at Polite Society, rich dark berries, balanced oak/vanilla toast, sweet spices plus a smooth long-ish finish - paired perfectly with wild mushroom rav and pork shank osso bucco, delicious stuff for the price, air time and patience rewarded handsomely though believe it will easily carry 3 - 5 more years.

It bested all of the wine tasted. 2015 Stags leap Cask 23, Justin Isosoles Reserve 2016, Screaming Eagle second flight 2012.

One of the WOTN for the Christmas dinner. Beat out Pott Actaeon 2013. Rich, viscous and a great value wine for about $ 50. Blackberry, vanilla and some graphite on the finish.

Still not at full potential. Dark plum in colour. Lingering finish. Tobacco, red fruit, and leather. Depth and complexity shows some serious muscle. Luc Morlet did a heck of a job on this.

I drank this a year ago and it was close to a fruit bomb. It has calmed down and even after an hour decant had a bit of a tannic finish. After 4 hours it was drinking great. I will wait a few years before I drink my final bottle.

Still young and could use a couple more years, but the wife enjoyed it immensely. Fruity with some acidity and strong tannins, better after an hour.

Shined tonight! CBCC closing dinner. I really enjoyed this particular wine at this tasting. Had alongside a 07' Far Nietnte Cabernet, a 2013 Duckhorn Cabernet and an 08 Tenimenti Angelini Brunello. Very aromatic cab notes. Flavors of raisen and cooked chery lead to a mild graphite and dark cherry mid palette. It has a very balanced and smooth finish. Lingering flavor of cedar and dark sweet cherry.

This is my 1st experience with Bure and my 1st experience with Luc Morlet. This was really good. Dark purple and red on the rim. Blackberry and plum. Very well integrated and smooth tannins, a full-bodied wine that for St. Helena is drinking really well right now. Chocolate notes on the finish.

Dark purplish garnet. Good concentration of dark fruits like blueberry, blackberry, blackcurrant, sweet, vanilla and oak. Bottle-breathed for 50 min. and drank next day. Maybe that's why it's sweet with a very slight hint of nail remover. Smooth, fruity, full, earthy, good length finish.

Crushed black fruits, black pepper, vanilla. Fruit really forward, thick and extracted..not loving this tonight...felt heavy handed...putting these away for a while

Dark berry flavors, somewhat dry/chewy on the palate - hopefully will resolve with time given the wine is quite young. Enjoyable & good QPR @ $40 a bottle.

Consistent w/ prior. Nice drinking cab, great value for the place. Plush and round, all nicely integrated. Black currants, cassis, vanilla, sweet dark plums. Really just enjoyable to drink.

Dense purple in the glass. Blackberry, cassis, and vanilla on the nose. Full bodied with rich black fruit, sweet tannins, and good length.

Consumed over 3 days. No real formal notes. Enjoyable, good amount of fruit, no Rutherford dust to note so somewhat loses sense of place. Very young, black fruits, cassis, pepper spice, years to go here. Will give more thought on the next one....

Maybe the love wore off or perhaps something more tangible is at play. The wine is still very good but it has lost some of the love I experienced on the first date. Slightly more raisen and cooked berry. Less graphite today and a little more spicy and raspy kind of like a dry throat. A berry forward but dried spice experience. Overall a good wine and great value for the money.

A great value Napa Cab. ......Yes your heard right ! I used the terms "value" and Napa in the same sentence. There are some terrific notes of classic Cabernet flavors. Cassis and (mild but present) graphite with a small amount of Velvety feel on the tongue. Thoroughly enjoyable for about $50 which I qualifies for my quality vs price value wine of the year.

Tasted at the WL, great bouquet, smooth tannins, good fruit, but the alcohol lingered in the background with some heat which numbs your palate, not a fan of high alcohol wines, pricey at $49 but for a Cali cab 2013 maybe a steal, it could develop over time but it is drinkable now, would not buy.
