Animale Petit Verdot

Popped and decanted. Tannin structure has resolved nicely and provided a solid backbone on this wine. Nose of pipe tobacco, licorice and cinnamon. Black fruits on the palate along with more cinnamon. Would purchase again.

Decanted. Was surprised at how light and delicate this was for a PV. Color was a light purple with a magenta rim. Cherry and nutmeg on the nose. Touch of oak on the palate along with pipe tobacco and tart cherry. Mouthfeel was elegant. The tannin has really integrated into the wine and is extremely complementary to the overall experience. Finish was clean, but not really exciting. Very solid effort. Would purchase again.

Popped and poured. Definitely needs more time in the bottle to incorporate the tannins. First glass had crazy amounts of black cherry syrup on the nose and palate. After about 15 minutes the wine shut down and closed up shop. The mouth feel was silky while the overall structure was brutish but elegant. Looking forward to how this is going to develop over the next few(or many) years. Would purchase again.
