One of my favorite California Syrahs. This has aged very well, but is beginning to show its age. It opened with a bit of vinegar, but after about 30 minutes disapated to a delicious, lush wine with berries and a wonderful pepper finish. I'm going to miss it when its all gone, but better to drink up then to go bad.

Finally, a Syrah that tastes like a Syrah...the last few Syrah's I've had have been fairly pedestrian. What I like is a big, bold, juicy, spicy Syrah and that's what this one is. Berries and some earthiness on the nose with lots of raspberry and sour cherry with that great peppery finish that I really enjoy. This one is peaking now.
