Smells and tastes like fruit in syrup to me - lychees, and a bit like those fruit cocktail cups. However not syrupy/flabby in texture, nice balancing acidity, reminds me of a gewurz.

light straw color, fruit-forward aromatic nose, tropical fruits -- lychee and syrup, other tasters likened it to canned lychees, in a good way. Tasted blind, was my favorite white wine of the night. 92 pts

Delightful wine, refreshing, with a weightiness that makes it easier to drink than a dry real Riesling. Perfect aperitif with a floral nose like a muscat. A pure fruit flavored, balanced with acidity and dryness. A quick finish but in the mouth it has a lot of intrigue.

This was my first taste of a kerner varietal. The wine opens up with more herbal aromas of Thai basil, rosemary and fennel which lead to slight green apple and lemon peel. Well-balanced and light density with a medium crisp finish.
