Absolutely lovely, barely off-dry chenin Enough acidity, balanced with some light melon and full bodied feel

Baked apple, applesauce, ripe persimmon, apricot. More lemon meringue on the second pass, then, crushed sea shells, resiny underbrush, more wool. Cream, and custard. More vociferously cleanly (like pleasant cleaning products) on the second day, but also more integrated (to the loss of some dimension). Waffle cone. Toasted marshmallow. Salted caramel. Toasted hazelnut. Anjou pear. Lemony acidity remains. Delicious, though I prefer the Tuffeaux opened earlier this year. It was more... crystalline, perhaps because of the greater tension between acidity …

Classic. Honey, pear, tinned peach, something herbal that I cannot specify, and lemon zest. Rich, but well balanced. Long, complex finish. Drink it now or within a year for its youthful charm, or cellar it for added complexity and drink 2030 - 2035. 92+ points.

PnP a portion and it opened in about an hour. Vacuvin’d the rest and took about 30 min on day 2 and 3 to open. Deep straw and medium yellow color. 👃🏻 pear, apricot, grapefruit rind 👅 white peach, apricot, wax, melon with mineral, wax, and juicy notes and 35 sec finish Beautifully made and superb QPR. Pairs with nearly everything, ranging from spicy chicken pasta to braised beef.

Light yellow. Nose is generous, fruity and somewhat mineral, with notes of grilled lemons, white peaches, pears, green apples and chalk. Mouthfeel is dry, fresh and fruity, full bodied, with nice acidity, elegant and well balanced, with notes of citrus, white peaches, green apples and chalk. Very young of course, but this is great stuff. Powerful yet elegant, this will have a great future.

Yellow gold color. Decanted. Now 3.5h after decant. Lovely aromas of honeysuckle, quince, baked apples, minerals, herbs, a bit of wet wool. Palate w tart and baked apples, quince, wet wool, minerals, herbs, and some honeysuckle. Medium body w excellent acids, esp. given the vintage. Nice weight, complexity and excellent balance. Beginning to take on aged characteristics. Just delicious and complex. Wish I had more bottles to follow its evolution.

Mature and rich, slight honey note, but holding up well (still vital after 4 days open). Perfect for a selection of goat and sheep cheeses from Mons.

Straw golden. Nose is rich! Almost a Riesling-like petrol, with floral and pineapple/lychee. On the palate - wow! Immediately apparent that a rich acidic flow rushes all corners of the palate, again pineapple. The acid is a bright fresh pleasant surprise given the nose. Winner of the night.

Very nicely matured, ready, but will keep. Complex, very interesting, swaying between ripe fruit - quince, pear - floral, lightly honeyed and mineral, savoury notes. Very nice balance and length. Great value.

Very nice wine, but I cannot agree this is classic Vouvray. Fairly deep hue but not indicative of oxidation in this case. Skin contact? There is the classic combination of fruity and savory aromas that you get in good Chenin Blanc. Nice floral and fruity aromas, very modest acidity and a rich, creamy texture. It's still drinking nicely at 14 years despite a relative lack of acidity.

You can't put Chenin in a box... that said, this is classic Chenin. Gorgeous stuff, hardly showing its age. Aromas of wet wool, overripe pear, ripened quince, citrus preserves, mushrooms, a little honey and late autumn meadow... Immensely complex and rich on the palate, full and textured, borderline syrupy, but not sweet, this comes across dry, I would guess less than 10 grams RS, but wouldn't be surprised to find it has 20. This explodes on the finish: ripe and …

The 2019 Baudoin is a slightly more focused and dry animal when compared to its brother Bournais (by design), which tends to be slightly sweeter and richer by comparison. The Baudoin displays refreshing lime, lychee, and lemon verbena notes, with just the slightest kiss of Riesling GG-esque body, finishing aptly dry. Youth is keeping this from a full drop of depth and viscosity, but it’s already a welcome addition to a Chilean sea bass with lime and basil pesto dish. …

Tasty, off-dry with ample acidity to balance it, modest richness, fairly typical Vouvray but with an unusual fennel bulb twist that helped it pair very well with crispy roast duck and cumin lamb.

1st of 2 bottles. PnP and enjoyed over several nites. Chenin has never been my favorite grape, but this wine was full of energy and verve and was quite good. No formal TN, but loved the zesty finish and the wooly notes on the nose. Drink now through 2026+.

Still very light gold in color. A big wooly nose and absolutely searing acidity on the palate that perfectly balances a good bit of residual sugar to the point where the overall impression is of a dry wine. A stellar bottle of vouvray that holds a lot of promise for the future.

A lot of Wines at Tommy's Clambake (again) (Tommy K's.) : Yellow gold in color. Lots of apples on the nose. Crisp acidity. Long finish. This was my first wine of the night and I hoped to get back to it once I got settled in but the bottle was drained quickly. It was quite tasty, and I would have liked to spend a bit more time with it. Certainly in my mind, they are in the top level of …

Somewhat compact and lacks the energy and the detail that I recall the 2008's had on release, this is mellower. Light quince notes, with a touch of under-ripe pineapple, no tropical notes, little baby fat here. No degradation over three nights, but didn't really open up either. In Spring Lake, NJ.

Disappointed -- nowhere near the equal of the Habert or Le Bouchet of 08/09. Much flatter, less sprightly, a long finish all that was redemptive. Hopefully an off bottle, though I don't have more to test.
