PNP, Always a good drinker, very consistent and tasty. I didn’t give it a real chance, so this note is pretty vanilla. Rebuy Drink now

Plum in color. Nose of strawberry and rhubarb. Second nose opens up with more strawberry, rose pedal, and dust. Bright and a bit of minerality along with the strawberry flavor. Building and lingering tannins through the palate.

Smooth with just enough complexity to make it interesting.

Delicious Carneros pinot, with textbook loam notes and even some bramble complimenting the sour cherry and strawberry flavor profile. Well balanced, with an acidic intensity that makes you reach for more.

Retail $47. When I tasted this wine last year as part of my Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir, I liked it, but...well, that was about it. Now? Decidedly better with rich red and dark fruit (cherry, plum), richness, earth, and an herbal quality (sage, basil). This, apparently, has really developed over the course of the last twelve months and it is, well, fantastic. thedrunkencyclist.com

Maybe not the best choice to go with Mexican food. I've enjoyed Etude in the past and really liked their Lyric so it's probably the paring.

Ruby color. Dark fruits with or sweetness to it with some heat. Not at all great but easy to drink.

Red plum and dark cherry on the nose and palate, finishing with slight earthiness, thyme, pepper and spice.

VinExpo NYC (Javits Center) : Seminar tasting. Medium bodied palate shows lots of red fruit, some earth, a touch of tannin, and juicy acidity. A bit simple and not my kind of pinot noir, so will not rate.

The Second Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir : Retail $47. A bit extracted and overly so on the palate. I do like it, but it is not my style of pinot. Very Good. 87-89 Points. thedrunkencyclist.com

Not much depth or complexity. Too syrupy is with a lot of plum.

Dark purple color, with an unusual primary fruit of purple raspberry, a smooth texture, good concentration, and underlying structure of drying tannin and refreshing acidity. One of the fullest bodied Pinots that Etude makes. No deterioration, should continue to drink well for another 5 years.

Beltramo's "High-Profile Pinot Noir" walkaround tasting (Beltramo's in Menlo Park, California) : Bright cherry red color; funky, bretty nose; odd brambly tart red fruit, but more like Vacqueyras than a Pinot, high acidity; short-medium finish
