Dr. Loosen, Graacher Domprobst Riesling GG, Mosel

This knocked my socks off. It tastes like a very high quality lusciously fruity styled mature Auslese. Honey, apricot, orange, peach, mango, and mint flavors atop a creamy and enveloping palate. There is a touch of botrytis. It manages, improbably, to obtain such opulence without weight. It’s a highly mineral experience, with tremendous acidity, which powers a long, resonant finish with hints of dried candied citrus. Fantastic!

Pale lemon in colour. The nose is lifted, with eloquent notes of white flowers, lime blossom, hibiscus, and almond, inlaid with kumquat, slate, and chalky minerality. A sharply defined entry with laser-like, piercing acidity, offering flavours of yuzu, sour lime juice, and lemon zest.
