Racy acidity, almost at that Chateau Lafite level, and a lot of reduction, quite light and less body to this than initially expected which was slightly unfortunate, a bit thin as others have mentioned, maybe age will help. Confirm minerality that other reviewers have mentioned.

At HK$350 retail, maybe, but nothing special. Have notes of more expensive wine - gasoline, honey, buttery. A bit thin though

Næse: mineralsk og reduktion - lidt benzinfornemmelse. Moden pære. Smag: syredrevet fersken, mineralsk, abrikos, benzin/kemisk fornemmelse. Stadig abrikos. Tyk viskositet og stort mundfylde Smagt dag to efter åbning

Rotalier (Soutern part of Jura), where Ganevat and Labet reside. Meursault-like terror, 60+ year vines. Classic PVG flinty reduction. Crisp pear, buttermilk, almonds - develops a sexy gasoline note and a bit of wood oil/waxy wiff with air. High acidity. Good minerality comes through with air. Had this 10 months ago. More open, but long life ahead. Decant at this point. (didn't get the classic nutty, spicy savagnin notes - maybe over time)

A private dinner (Restaurant De Kas *, Amsterdam, NL) : From southern Jura (Rotalier area). Expertly made but initially much more PVG than Jura, it takes time in the decanter and a higher temperature to show the salty, earthy, apple and mineral Savagnin character of the wine. Creamy bitters, good volume in the fruit, complete finish with very good resonance and length. Needs proper treatment at this stage, but a very fine wine.

A Mostly-Unicorn, All-Blind White Throwdown (SommCellars) : Tasted blind. An excellent Savagnin from Jura. High acidity with notes of yellow apple, a hint of petrol, and touches of honey and dried apricots. The palate is bone dry, with a long creamy finish but still feels a bit closed at this stage. A unique and intriguing wine that needs some time to fully open up.

PVG meets Jura and savagnin - what a match. Beautiful wine. Doesn’t feel like a Jura as such - could be a puligny or chassagne. Crazy acidity. Probably the best savagnin I’ve had - but also the least classic. Unfortunate it’s so difficult to find
