Domaine Mickaël Mothe Chablis

Pale lemon color. Medium(-) aromas of lemon, lime, green apple, green apple, unripe nectarine. Simple but balanced and decent entry level Chablis. Dry with medium(-) flavor above, plus a lingering minerality. Light body, high acditiy, medium alcohol, medium(-) finish. Drink now.

This feels all about tension and clarity, with lemon pith, green apple, chalk dust, oyster shell, and a cool streak of wet stone running straight through the palate. There is good snap to the acidity, but also enough texture to keep it from feeling austere. No excess flesh here, just a clean, saline, minerally expression that finishes crisp, stony, and very true to type. Above average in quality and value if at $29.

A good quality basic Chablis with lemon, flint and mineral notes on the nose. A decent amount of acidity with citrus on the palette and a medium length finish. A pleasant wine that goes well with poultry.

Nice trial Chablis. Worth getting more

AOC Chablis for $19! I'm in. Easy to open any night of the week! Costco has been brining in assorted producers in this price range for the past month or two.

White fruit. Crisp acidity.

Crisp minerality. Slight bitterness on the finish. Nice but not great.
