Van Volxem, Wiltinger Gottesfuss Riesling Alte Reben GG, Mosel

Dekantiert für 3 Stunden. Strahlendes gelb. In der Nase keine Frucht im Vordergrund, sondern deutliche Mineralik. Etwas schwebend im Glas, am Mund aber zupackend. Blind würde ich sofort auf "Nahe" tippen. Schöner Wein, der ready to drink ist.

Glass: Gabriel Standard Popped and poured. Clear, medium, youthful golden color. Clean, medium intense, developing nose. Wonderfully vibrant, chalky mineral notes, fresh yellow stone fruit, herbs. Beautiful. Not legally dry, I would assume around 10-18gr of residual sugar that have now blended in quite nicely and are buffered by the racy, ripe acidity. 12,5% abv. Very profound and complex nose. Ripe citrus, some petrol, honey, slightly burnt sugar, earthiness, deep slatey minerality. Medium-plus body.Intense and full mouthfeel with almost dried citrus, fine creaminess, caramel, impressive mineral layers, some herbal notes and more than just well detectable residual sugar, Very much density in the midpalate, long developing finish, rounded, polished details. Tief mineralischer Wein mit Noten von Zitrusfrüchten, Jasmin, Honig, Apfel; süßlich-volle Duftwolken an der Nase, trotz der niedrigen Alkoholgradation voller, mundfüllender Körper mit ordentlich Restsüße, langem Zuckerschwanz am Gaumen und herb-kräuteriger Balance; sehr lang, viel Zukunft

Un-fricking-believable wine. Wine that defies temporal explanation. Sorry, but just Extraordinary in every sense.
