Very light transparent greenish color A shy, mineral, and fruity nose Very fresh on the palate with rich and ripe green fruit, a light body for an auslese Profits from air, would profit from age Works With fruit, hard cheese or as an aperitif

Absolutely delicious. Nectar, apricots, honey, dates and walnuts. Years left too. A beautiful wine. No more bottles sadly.

Quite a big step up in terms of concentration and noticeable sweetness. Exotic fruit notes, honey, white flowers on the nose. Creamy and rich on the palate, but incredibly well balanced and stylistically still rather linear and delicate. Lots of energy and tension. Stunningly persistent. 94-95+

Golden color. Expressive nose of quince, a touch of honey, some safran, yellow fruits, minerals/petrol and mango. Medium body with a tangy (high) acidity, high sweetness and a very long finish. This is a super-expressive Riesling that combines sweetness and minerality with a racy acidity that keeps everything on the fresh side. Beautiful!

Tonight I had my first boss over for dinner. Back then I just started my professional career with an assignment in Asia. He really helped me to get traction and also invited me a few times for a nice dinner. He is a member of the Commanderie de Bordeaux and a cigar lover, enjoying the hedonistic side of life as well. Funky nose in the beginning (plastic? but already complex) which blows off after a few minutes. On the palate a few oxidized notes, which add to the complexity. Good fruit as well, good acidity, the wine needs to breathe to come together It grew on me. If you like aged Riesling notes, keep.
