Founders: Brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer in 1876 Chief Winemaker: Mark Beringer (great-great-grandson of Jacob) since 2015. A(ccuracy)=2: Med light cherry/red. Smoky berry varietal. Our favorite so far from the WSJ inexpensive Pinot Noir article (although only indirectly mentioned), taking over the top spot fropm KJ. This is all cherries and earth, well-balanced and long finishing. Light in the palate, and at under $10 a great value.

Nice cherry nose and fruity palate. Not a complicated wine, but good QPR. Drank with a delicious sesame crusted seared tuna.
