Flora Springs Ghost Winery

This was once a solid Napa Cab but now it's hanging on by a thread. Blackberries and plums with a nice earthy component to match the dark fruit. But it's fading away. This wine has very little life left in it.

Hedonistic nose of dried dark fruits, raisins, and figs suggesting a massive bomb...but the palate holds back and delivers a refined, playful juicy delight. From our tasting this wine has plenty of life. Enjoy this beauty now or even wait a bit longer. It will be there waiting for you. Enjoy!

"Decent" per the missus.

It’s Halloween, so there’s not a better day during the year to open this. Love the unique labels to them. Different each year. In my opinion, the bottle outshines the wine. The wine itself is very basic, especially in comparison to their Trilogy offering that I buy often. Plum, black cherry, dark cocoa on the nose. On the palate, it’s very simplistic. Finish is a balance of blackberries, black cherry, and red licorice with cedar. Dry and fairly tannic without …

No expectations. Let it breathe for about two hours. Dense ruby hues. Medium to full bodied. Smooth restrained dark red and blue fruit. Decent finish. Not outstanding but not a disappointment either.

Not much different from last year. A little less red fruit, a little more sage and spice. Good with food or on its own.

Deep ruby red with a light purplish hue. Dark nose with layers of red plums, cocoa, black cherries, and dark spices. Smooth and rounded on the palate with medium tannins (6/10). Medium bodied that builds up when you swirl it around. Notes of black cherries, raspberries, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks and graphite. Dry with a medium plus to long finish. Perfect themed wine for Halloween!

Light leather and woody nose. Moderate body and integrated with no heat. A very drinkable wine with hints of vanilla and cinnamon with red fruits on the palate. Medium finish. Dry without being too dry on the finish. Shortish finish. 89-

Very dark with ruby highlights. Cedar, blueberry, and spice nose. Medium to full bodied, blackberries, black cherries, pepper, grainy tannins, leather, heat, and a medium to long finish. Better than it had to be. Nice label too.

Deep ruby red. Dark nose with layers of plums and dark spices. Smooth and rounded on the palate with medium tannins (5.5/10). Medium bodied with light blue berries, dark berries and spices. Dry with a medium plus to long finish. Very drinkable and perfect pop and pour wine. Drink till 2021.
