Villa Wolf, Pinot Noir, Pfalz

Not something I would drink. Cheap tasting with unripe strawberries, earth and a short finish.

A decent PN from Villa Wolf, earthy wild raspberries, light cherry and some herbal notes on the nose with an elegant mouthfeel. As a PN should be!

Very nice fruit and balanced acidity. More than an easy drinker. Buy again

Colour: clear translucent cherry red, hint of brick Nose: clean, medium(-) intensity, primary, youthful. Black cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, beetroot. Dark chocolate, nutmeg, cinnamon. Cola? Palate: dry, medium(+) acidity, medium(-) tannins, medium bodied, medium alcohol (13%). Medium(-) length finish, medium intensity. Black cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, beetroot. Dark chocolate, nutmeg, cinnamon. Cola? Conclusions: good — delicious and drinkable, but lacking a little complexity. Can drink now, but suitable for short term ageing. Seal screwcap.

Drank at home. The wine shows bright cherry red color. Its very light and welcoming in the nose straight away, showing fresh raspberries, cherries and even strawberries. The palate shows nice acidity, same range of flavours with a few darker and savoury ones as it gets more air, juicy tannins, light body and medium finish. Nice everyday wine. It was better than the last time I had it.

Clear red. Closed, no smell at all. Light, acidic, sweet. Boring. Might have been an off bottle.

Really very nice light Pinot, very enjoyable drunk slightly chilled on a warm day. Nice balance, giving nose, strawberries and vanilla, nothing obtrusive. Very excellent value for money for the £13 I paid for it.

Similaire à la note de février 2020 mais cette fois une touche de sucrosité en bouche et plus de verdeur. Toujours un RQP vu le prix très bas.

Blueberry, dried leafs/twigs, brown sugar, clay. Distinctive.

Tout à fait sympa et RQP. Ça pinotte. Fraise, un peu de terre et soupçon de poivre. C'est court et l'acidité est notable mais c'est digeste. À si bas prix, c'est bien joué.

Raspberries, stable and leather on the nose. Raspberries, öron and herbs on the palette. Quite high acidity.

Ruby red colour. Raspberries, strawberries with hints of earth on the noise. Taste of raspberries and strawberries with hints of oak. Medium long and light finish. Goes well with light meat.
