The reserve. Thats got some.medicinal funk on it. Both on the palate ends a bit harsh on that character.

Well rounded. Always a great value. We did notice some bottle variation with this wine.

Tannic, yet dry. Tobacco box flavor mixes with dark currant.

Black raspberry, black cherry, plum, sweet tarts, damp earth, herbs, and minerals on the nose. Plums, tart cherries, red cherries, black cherries, earth, and licorice on the palate. Very nice acidity, lightly grippy tannins, medium-long finish. Delicious. Concentrated. Quite an impressive merlot.

Quintessential notes of cocoa, dark cherry and graphite, plus candies rose petal and tobacco leaf. Medium plus on the body with juicy acid and tight, finely grained tannin that is on its way towards resolution. The flavors hit on cherry, plum, cocoa and ash. It finishes with a salty gaminess. The structure and flavor profiles are pleasant now, but seem to be fighting some internal battles. A few years more may bring this together nicely.
