More red than black fruits here with baking spice and a plump character to start, more brightness from middle forward. I oreferred this over the other 2008 Pinot Noir cuvée, which was slightly less fresh.

No detailed notes. The strawberry and rhubarb profile was the star here, with the rhubarb's green edge lending vibrancy and clarity. A touch dense today, this wine will need time to shed weight and become more ethereal. Drunk from three glasses: The Fu glass brought out the best aromatics and fruit expression. Zalto followed closely, while the Sensory lacked some fruit and felt less balanced. 92pts.

Nose is pretty cooling at the moment, some cherry cola here and a definite jamminess that gives away its American origins. Has some candy chewy nose as well, which gives way to a best of roses. There was more restraint here than I expected. Ruby red, this is not a Cabernet impersonation of Pinot. Loaded with spice notes and dark cherries. Very silky mouthfeel. If you need savory notes in your Pinot you might be a bit disappointed, but if you can accept "new world" Pinot, this is a delicious, restrained example. Ready to drink now on its fruit.

Craig's 70th birthday and Brian's 50th birthday (Tilia) : Drank a small pour at the end of the night, so I suspect the bottle had been opened 3-4 hours before. For being so young this is also expressive. Energetic and juvenile for sure, with a structure that is undeniable. Great to drink today for the fruit and I suspect 5-10 years of cellar time will be rewarded.

It's a Big Birthday Celebration (Tilia, Mpls) : Medium plus red color. Small pour. Same bottle as galewskj. I like what Joe had to say, and we're in agreement. This was impressive in its youthful precociousness. Such pretty fruit and so approachable so soon. But yeah, this is gonna be dreamy later.

Wonderfully complex nose with red fruit and earth. Lighter weight in the mid palate than many regional contemporaries yet with a sweet dark cherry edge. A lot of fragrant spice especially as it gets into the finish. It seems to have its own voice. Harmonious. Very nice. Unsurprisingly, it was much better with a few hours of air.

Unreal nose, complex and addictive. It's hard for the wine to live up it its nose, but it does a creditable job. Great illustration of what blending pinots can accomplish. Pricey. Heaven knows what you would serve to follow a bottle of this black magic.

More dense tonight than I remember it from last tasting. Quite lovely. Orange blossom combined with clean ripe fruit and white lillies. The flowery component is magnificent and gives the wine a feminine touch. The palate is nicely integrate with a striking balance and beautiful acidity. It will drink nicely for many years to come. Dark red garnet. Rich, umami highlighted aromatics of truffle, black strawberry, raspberry leaf, bramble, spruce, salted caramel. Layered and complex, lovely non-fruit driven feel of compost, tar, stones, dried leaves, wet clay and smudge. Dense palate, rich and forward, though again, complexity in earthen and roasted coffee bean and pit fruit flavors. Decent acidity, silken tannins, long persistence. Mature.

Enticing nose of black cherries and spice cake. Full bodied fruit centered palate, with sharply defining acidity/zip. Ripe somewhat sweet red fruit flavors really hang on the palate. Has a creamy texture to the finish, which is incredibly long, though not especially complex. Large scale wine for OR, but seems to have plenty of structure/balance. A beauty, and this will certainly improve with another year or two. The nose is enticing, with rose petals and earth. Raspberry, bing cherry, and pomegranate in the mouth. Nice concentration, and wonderful balance.

Had this wine at a party the other night.... Absolutely fantastic... Deep, lush and flavorful. More like a rich California Pinot than the Oregon Burgundian style. Full disclosure--- I know John M., one of the three owners of this winery, but trust me, that has nothing to do with this rating.

Opened and drank, but it did get better over an hour's time as it breathed. Nice acidity, very well integrated bright fruit with a richness that was refreshing. Nose was that of a ripe cherry with some dark fruit mixed in. The taste lingered on the palate for well over a minute and stayed bright. Taste of bing cherry that is at its peak ripeness without being overripe. I can only imagine that this wine will get better with age …
