per Skurnik, 'Clay and limestone terroir, with high iron content in the soil' nose - perfumed. dark cherry, raspberry mouth - juicy, fresh fresh red moving to dark berry fruits. Considerable tannins. lots going on here and already pleasurable but perhaps with 5 more years it would really blossom. quality wine from an underappreciated quarter at a most reasonable tariff.

88-91 potential at this stage Very primary and reduced. Whiffs of camphor, roasted jalapeño, turned earth with underpinned blackberry bush and Chambord. On the palate grippy, chalky tannins give way to black licorice, blackberries, tanned leather and bittersweet chocolate. The texture of the wine is both chunky and gravelly in the mouth. The length and finish is both seedless and long. Given the 13.5% ABV, this is drinking easily and fresh. I would recommend holding for another 3-5 years before …

Sopar Angelita. Probado a copas. Cabernet franc bien hecha, para mi demasiado tanica.

Aged in concrete. Deep color. Fragrant nose, violets and black 🍒. Very pure fruit, both on the nose and palate. Palate is fresh, good acidity, crunchy and croquant. Finishes with chalky fine tannins. Really nice balance between fruit, tannin and acidity. Very nice wine.

Great color. The nose shows smoky aromas of ripe raspberry, flowers, soil, herbs and a hint of minerals. This is medium full bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and good class. The medium plus length finish features slightly gritty tannins.

Darker and more dense than I expected.

Black fruit and some green pepper up front, a deep and very noted core, tannins are decently integrated, finishes fairly long on those same low notes.

No detailed notes taken, but this was fruity, with green notes, but didn’t win me over.
