Yellow gold. 15% alc. But this is fantastic. I am impressed by all Aubert creations

Medium yellow. Nose reserved revealing hints of toasty oak. Rich mouthfeel, light acidity keeps the wine in balance. Pear, pineapple and well integrated hints of toasty sweet oak in the finish. Drinking beautifully currently.

Light gold. Beautiful tropical fruit, pineapple, peach and pear. Crisp acidity, lovely cold but even better cool. Has just a hint of vanilla and oak but very light and well done

Pop and pour into a decanter, from magnum. In the glass, clear, deep gold. On the nose, honeysuckle, potpourri, and Meyer lemon. On the palate, an unctuous texture on the attack, with waves of soft citrus fruit on a smoky, flinty spine. The smoky oak and acidity don't make themselves apparent until the long finish, at which point they arrive in force - but you've been won over. At least from mag, this still has many years of life ahead.

New Year's Day wine out of a magnum. This magnum was aquired during a winery direct lottery in the fall of 2022. 5 hour double decant and then poured into 2 Grassl Carafes for a little more air and served at approximately 50+ degrees. The wine was paired with a maple smoked pork roast and consumed out of Sensory stems. The bouquet was floral with slight hints of lemon rind and raw honey. The palate was of orchard fruits, earth, …

Really exceptional. This is in a great spot right now. Classic Aubert - rich, toasty and complex.

Quite alcoholic. One of those Auberts where you know there is very high quality there but there’s just too much else going on to be the top flight experience you want. Roll of the Aubert dice.

A big, well balanced wine with upfront bursts of fruit. This benefited from 60 min in the decanter. This is in its prime and will drink well for 3-4 more years.

Aromas of papaya, mango, banana, lemon and lemon meringue. Flavors of lemon meringue, papaya, mango, guava and touch of spice. Ends with a 40+ second finish with tropical fruit notes.

Nice bottle with some lingering acidity. Might age well for another 3 to 5 years

PNP. Pale gold color. Relatively rich and unctuous. Tropical fruits, some citrus balances the vanilla and honey notes. 15% ABV, but not hot. Well balanced, but full throttle, these do benefit from time sideways. I prefer these cool to preserve the focus.

This is kickass Chardonnay - I don't have the winespeak vocabulary, hence the descriptor. I just know I loved this - everything was in balance, and the finish just went on and on.

Medium gold color. Exhibits pronounced aromas of white peach, melon, lemon curd, pineapple, mango warm brioche & honey. Full bodied and richly textured; ripe flavors of stone and tropical fruits are accompanied by butterscotch and caramel accents set upon a limestone underpinning. Elegantly structured with notable viscosity; energetic acidity delivers balanced presence on the palate lingering for a long lip-smacking finish. A beautiful effort that should drink well for many years to come.

15.0% abv. Light gold color. This Aubert Chard is all about slightly unripe tropical fruit, lemon curd, almond brioche, mandarin orange segment, oak. Tingly, steely sensation on palate (served 65deg) turning to soft fuzzy, mouthwatering tannins and streak of acidity mid palate, followed by long, decadent finish. This lacks the minerality of a grand cru burgundy, but tips the scales in terms of rich, early drinking pleasure. Bravo

Well done. Brioche with drizzled honey. Fresh lemon followed by honey. Initially the oak was overpowering but after being open about an hour before sitting down it was nowhere to be found. Rather a very round and smooth wine. Enjoyable

Another gem from Aubert. Amazing how rich and fresh this Chardonnay drinks after sitting in the bottle for seven years. Intense notes of citrus, tropical fruits, toast and a hint of lemon on the finish. Wonderfully balanced And delicious.

Fantastic wine. We decanted it into a small carafe and then tasted. Wow! I wish we had more of this beauty. Rich tropical fruit with complexity and great mouthfeel. Very pure. Nice longish aftertaste.

Beautiful yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of pineapple, citrus, toast, and minerals. Very good balance and depth with a lot of nuance. Flavors sharply etched. Very long finish. A wow wine.

Outstanding but given tonight's Aubert Lauren Vineyard 12' & 15' I must say this one did not live up to the the high bar set by the Lauren's. Probably beginning to decline. So drink up.

Quite rich and ripe nose of tropical fruit and mixed pâtisserie. You really feel the weight here, round and full bodied with significant alcohol (15% ABV per label) that finds less balance than other Aubert bottles. Hedonistic and certainly fine if that's what you are going for but the magic of Aubert is that the outsized wine somehow finds balance and comes together as a whole and that isn't happening with the 2013 Sugar Shack.
