Hunter Valley - 7 Cellar Doors (Pokolbin) : {screwcap, 14%, A$25} Soft young nose. Plums, chocolate, some white pepper. Palate seems darkly assertive initially, then evolves into a light-medium bodied wine, with soft but gritty tannins, and much of its presence on the front palate, with a consequently short finish. An easy drinker which manages to avoid finishing hot.
