smooth velvety texture, still lots of lively fruit, dark cherry, blueberry. had a nice finish, just a beautiful wine. we got at the winery and did a tour and tasting in 2007. we liked it then but its aged extremely well.. at its peak for drinking

Very tasty. Dark purple color, floral nose. Taste soft and velvety. Tannins well integrated. Seems fully mature.

Had this vintage a few times before with nothing exciting to report. Today was different, however. We paired this with a Safeway apple pie. The results were tremendous. Mocha and chocolate flavors were unlocked on the way to a velvety finish. Neither the apple pie, nor the wine lasted 15 minutes after that discovery.
