It is softening but quite eleganty; with subdued citrus and pleasant minerality. A nice go to Pouilly-Fuisse.

"takes a licking and keeps on ticking". the wine is still vibrant. it offers a generous nose, exuberant mouth feel and substantial finish. flavor profile is similar to previous bottles. peach, lemon/lime and wet stone. just the right amount of acidity. the wine is fresh with no signs of oxidation …

this wine is still strutting its stuff. of the verget wines that i have tasted, this is among his better efforts. beautiful yellow/green (lime) color. generous nose. vibrant taste in the mouth combining the best of light skinned stone fruits, a hint of citrus and shale notes. this wine may be coming down off of its apogee so i will enjoy remaining bottles this summer.

Unscrewed and poured. Very solid expression of Chardonnay, lightly oaked, not too ripe, pear fruit. OK acidity, but id like more. No real complexity, but big delicious factor. At peak, no signs of decline. Good value. $17 WB

birthday dinner at home with pat. paired with day boat point pleasant scallops. this bottle was singing. flavor profile as before but with persistent personality offering 40 minutes of continuous enjoyment. will have to go back for whatever is left on the shelf. good bottles can easily perform well for another year.

shared with pat, ellen and mahesh to celebrate the acquisition of HTC Incredible smartphones. this bottle presented aggressive attack on the nose and palate at the outset and a flavor profile consistent with previous notes. it faded a bit in the glass but was still pleasant after 30 minutes. paired well with big eye tuna steak smothered in homemade avocado, 3 cheese dresing, horseradish preparation. may need to go with original inclination to enjoy this wine now and resist the …
