shared with pat at selkirk manor celebrate the end of the work week. this is our 8th and last bottle of this wine which has performed beautifully over the past several years. the color has taken on a slightly golden tone and the flavor profile has softened. however, it remains quite graceful in the beginning stages of its old age. still offers plenty of citrus fruit and uplifting profile on the palate. this is the best of all the verget …

It is softening but quite eleganty; with subdued citrus and pleasant minerality. A nice go to Pouilly-Fuisse.

shared with pat at selkirk manor. this was our 7th bottle of this wine, out of which it was among the three best. this wine is like a timex watch. "takes a licking and keeps on ticking". the wine is still vibrant. it offers a generous nose, exuberant mouth feel and substantial finish. flavor profile is similar to previous bottles. peach, lemon/lime and wet stone. just the right amount of acidity. the wine is fresh with no signs of oxidation …

this wine is still strutting its stuff. of the verget wines that i have tasted, this is among his better efforts. beautiful yellow/green (lime) color. generous nose. vibrant taste in the mouth combining the best of light skinned stone fruits, a hint of citrus and shale notes. this wine may be coming down off of its apogee so i will enjoy remaining bottles this summer.

Unscrewed and poured. Very solid expression of Chardonnay, lightly oaked, not too ripe, pear fruit. OK acidity, but id like more. No real complexity, but big delicious factor. At peak, no signs of decline. Good value. $17 WB

birthday dinner at home with pat. paired with day boat point pleasant scallops. this bottle was singing. flavor profile as before but with persistent personality offering 40 minutes of continuous enjoyment. will have to go back for whatever is left on the shelf. good bottles can easily perform well for another year.

shared with pat, ellen and mahesh to celebrate the acquisition of HTC Incredible smartphones. this bottle presented aggressive attack on the nose and palate at the outset and a flavor profile consistent with previous notes. it faded a bit in the glass but was still pleasant after 30 minutes. paired well with big eye tuna steak smothered in homemade avocado, 3 cheese dresing, horseradish preparation. may need to go with original inclination to enjoy this wine now and resist the …

shared with pat at home to wind down the week. paired with fish fillet francaise. i love the nose on this wine. the verget style is quite apparent with emphasis given to fruit extraction. after being open for 15 minutes it develops some complexity which i did not detect in the previous bottle. perhaps the lack of distraction by visitors helped me be more attentive to the wine. nevertheless, i would still think that this wine is intended for near …

shared this with the crew from p.s. 319. i like this wine alot better than pros. it has an uplifting flavor profile that sings the high notes. nice balance between fruit and minerality both of which are present in ample amounts. i am not impressed with citrus qualities so much as i am with peaches, pears, and apples. this wine did not hold up well in the fridge after being open for several days. i guess this is an indication …

pleasant white wine; not pretentious as manifested by the screw top; good French presentation with a little butter on the palette and a flowery bouquet as only the French can masterfully do
