Drank both bottles 2 years ago, just adding notes. 1st bottle, nice ripe cherries, sweet smelling, almost port like. Drinking very well, with nice tannins, again cherries are present, with a slight hint of mint and a little chocolate. There is a green component like bell peppers but not as strong, mint is not as apparent. Great QPR. Very thought provoking. The nose is quite vegetal with some floral and spice notes. On the palate the cherry fruit is certainly there but it's mixed with an over rose petal finish. Also look for the grapefruit aspect. Not delicious, but pleasant and very intriguing. Impressive for $7.00.

This is nice. Very dark, cherries on the nose, with some vegetal component there; a little chocolate as well. Taste is nice. A lot of ripe cherries and chocolate. Kind of like eating a mon cheri. Nose=Leather, poopy and Sauerkraut. Palate=Leather, plum and Black Cherry - Finishing vegetal. Even with a decent amount of time spent in French oak it is very balanced and did not fill my mouth with sawdust. Nice 88 Pts. One of the best QPRs I have consumed.

Excellent everyday wine, outstanding QPR. Great balance between the veggies and the fruit.
