Medium yellow color. Wonderful bouquet of pear, butter caramel, citrus, spices. Fat and grainy texture, butter notes, green fruits, spices. Complex with great depth and long finish, this is doing great just now. At home with Susanne.

This may be the best bottle yet of this wine, and it's really hit its stride. Some marzipan and spice on the nose, with a hint of orchard fruit in the background. The palate is solid, with fresh acidity, some orchard fruit, with a light lychee note. The only nit is a somewhat disjointed and bitter finish, but this is otherwise quite a nice Chassagne premier.

Intense, straw colour, almost sparkling with life. Nose taking on some notes of complexity, rich citrus fruits, underpinned by a subdued but persistent minerality. Almost a sweet minerality on the palate too, notes of honey and tropical fruits> Very persistent. Drink 2012 -15?

A fair amount of toast on the nose at first, white flowers, a bit of tropical fruits, and lemon curd. Rich in texture with a stoniness/ minerality that I like a lot. All the while while maintaining its lift and freshness. Excellent midpalate presence and focus here. Quite long on the finish. This is quite enjoyable and while drinking great right now may get a little more complex in time. 91 pts.

This wine was drinking very well. Crisp, lively with nice fruit, minerality and balance. Had this with pan seared halibut over a salad. Don't know how long this wine will develop but pretty fine right now.

This is a huge step up from the last bottle, which initially seemed to be slightly corked, then oxidizing -- clearly there was something wrong with it. This bottle, on the other hand, has lovely aromas of apples and toast, with nice complexity on the back end. The palate is perhaps just a tad loosely structured, but the nice apple aromas show up in the flavors, and has nice length on the finish.

Very different from the last bottle I had about a year ago. Initially I thought it might be very slightly corked. The nose was slightly musty and otherwise very muted. The palate was simply odd, and almost seemed oxidized. Then it seemed to blossom on the nose, the must blew off, and white flowers came forward. But the palate seemed rather simple and straightforward, though tasty; the structure was lacking in acid, seemed a bit flabby. I'll try another bottle …

No notes taken, this is written several days after drinking. Initial impression of oak on the nose, less so on the palate. Over the course of an hour or so the oak integrates well, and we are left with a very attractive and balanced, albeit somewhat straightforward, Chassagne premier.
