A lower alcohol Zin much like the Louis Martini Zins of old… and quite unlike the bold, high alcohol Zins that are in vogue today. Drinkable but lacking the Zinfandel ZING that many Zin lovers expect. Lacking acidity (which should have been corrected during fermentation), it shows a softness that portends a short life ahead and finishes slightly sweet. Incredibly inexpensive, and the winery is discounting all its wines on its online store. Shades of a decreasing wine market? I …

Haskell's Grand Tasting (Bloomington, MN) : Spice, floral and some fruit. Not bad overall.

Nice bottle, easy to drink. Some earthy notes combined with ripe black cherries and plum. Not much depth, but a great wine for the price. I would buy again.

all around mediocre, barely. Would not buy again or serve. Modest but fleeting black fruit aroma, thin barely fruity initial mouthfeel with a quick fleeting closing. Not comparable to many of the other low priced zins available. Pay up a little for a reputable tempranillo crianza.

Color: I would say dark claret Aroma: blackberry and dark fruits Taste: first sip all I got was tartness. After 30 minutes of opening up in the glass I was able to get blackberry, tobacco, leather. Spices like pepper on food and a touch of oak. Acidity: I would say high as when I tip my head forward my mouth just instantly salviates. Body: medium+ Paired with Meatloaf made of half lb each of veal, ground beef and ground pork

Fruity, not as spicy as a good zin should be. It’s a fine everyday drinker. Would have again

Purple in color with aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and cranberry. Light, elegant style made from sustainably farmed grapes.
