Dinner with a colleague, he brought this from CO. Aerated into a decanter. It needed air, with some undesirable aromas blowing off after about 20 minutes. Opens to a dark, gritty, and savory Old World expression of PV. Compelling flavors and aromas of charcoal, graphite, purple flowers, and dusty dark fruits. Well-integrated, fine tannins. Approachable now, but will peak in 2023-25. Excellent 91.
