This wine is past its peak, but still tasting well. It has lost much of the up front fruit which is replaced with more earth, mushroom and pepper. The finish is long and spicy inviting one to take another sip.

This pinot is showing really nicely tonight, without the slightest hit of its 8yr age. Plums, dried fruits, cranberries and spice. Definately not from a cool region, but very well done.

Beautiful plum and mature pinot flavors...but fell off the second day, so consume the day it is opened.

Gave this a hour in the glass and it was excellent. Dense but dry nose of bing cherries and earth, deep, musty and fruity body and long, crisp finish.

Dry nose of rose pedals, licorice, cranberry, blood and fish stock?, dusty and tannic palate with hints of creamy fruit balanced by strong acidity and a medium finish

Medium depth cherry color. Earth, forest floor and truffles combine with bright red fruits, meaty aromas and oriental spices for a medium intensity but interesting and complex nose. Medium to full bodied, with plenty of bright red cherryfruits, spice, earth, and cola flavors, and a silky texture lends this wine elegance. Well balanced, this wine has plenty of big tannins that settle out over a few hours. Quite a lingering finish with cherry liquor fruit, tannins and spice.

One of my last bottles. Seem to remember less acidic taste, more fruit before. Drink these up, the fruit is disappearing, an acidic aftertaste is taking over.

Medium light ruby color. Complex aromas of earth and barnyard, cherry, rasberry, cola and oriental spices. Medium to full bodied, and very well balanced, with crisp acidity bracing it's ample fruit. Sweet black cherries, smoked meats, earthy, impeccable balance-- this tastes far more like a Burgundy than something from California. Good length-- I wonder if it is ageable?
